The Anambra state gubernatorial elections were held yesterday. Despite fears of insecurity due to IPOB activities, the elections were relatively peaceful.
In a video that surfaced online, the electorates at a certain polling unit are seen rejecting a 5,000 Naira sum to vote for a certain candidate. In the video, the elderly women and men are seen refusing to collect the money saying (in a local dialect) “APC is giving people 5,000. We do not want APC, they have made us suffer.”
