The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed an attack on the Kaduna International Airport on Saturday the 26th of March, 2022. The bandits had breeched the airport through the perimeter fence fence and begun shooting sporadically at airport staff. A Press Release signed by FAAN’s General Manager of Corporate Affairs, stated that the attack was repelled by the Military and the Airport’s security personnel but not before one staff was shot dead.
The attack delayed a Lagos bound Azman Aircraft for 44 minutes. The flight exited the airport at 1:48pm after all security threats had been eliminated.
