Chidinma Ojukwu Pleads ‘Not Guilty’ To The Murder Of Usifo Ataga

Chidinma Ojukwu pleads not guilty to the murder of Usifo Ataga.

The 21-year-old Mass Communication student of the University of Lagos pled not guilty to the murder of 50-year-old Super TV CEO. Chidinma was arrested by the Lagos state police days after Ataga was found dead at an Airbnb in Lekki. Police investigations discovered that Chidinma had rented the apartment where the deceased was found and a CCTV video from a restaurant in Lagos spotted both of them together, hours before his death.

In an initial interview with the press, Chidinma had admitted to being the late businessman’s “sugar baby” and to fatally stabbing him after a disagreement. In another interview, she retracted her statement and said she had returned to the apartment to find him dead. Read the story here.

Chidinma Ojukwu Appears In Court For The Murder Of Usifo Ataga

Chidinma was arraigned alongside her sister, Eguchu Chioma and a second murder suspect, Adedapo Quadri. The court hearing was presided over by Justice Yetunde Adesanya at a Lagos high court in Tafawa Balewa Square today. Chidinma and Adedapo are facing an 8 count charge bordering on murder forgery and stealing. While Chioma Eguchu is facing a theft charge for having been found in possession of the deceased’s phone.
