INEC Declares Anambra Elections Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the Anambra state Governorship elections inconclusive. The decision was made because elections were not held in Ihiala Local Government Area. INEC has scheduled Tuesday the 9th of November as supplementary election date for Ihiala.

Anambra Governorship Election Results

Out of 21 local government areas, the APGA candidate, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo won in 18 local government areas with a total of 103,946 votes. The PDP candidate, Valentine Ezigbo secured 51,322 votes and win in Ogbaru LGA. APC’s Andy Uba secured 42,942 votes placing him in third place and YPP’s Ifeanyi Ubah secured 20,219 votes and a win in Nnewi North LGA.

A total of 237,362 votes were cast, and 7,814 votes cast were rendered invalid.
