Man Attempts To Swim Across The Pacific Ocean For More Than Six Months

A French swimmer, Ben Lecomte, 51, is set to become the first person to swim across the Pacific Ocean.
Ben will set off from Japan aiming to swim for eight hours a day for more than six months as he heads towards the US west coast.

He faces dangers including sharks, storms, swarms of jellyfish, and extremely low water temperatures.

He is hoping to raise awareness for climate change, and a team of scientists will conduct research during the 5,500 mile (9,000 km) swim.
