Nigerian Government Makes Covid-19 Vaccination Compulsory For Employees

The Nigerian government has announced its plan to ban unvaccinated government employees from offices from December 1st, 2021. Workers who are unable to provide proof of vaccination by the deadline would not be granted access to government offices. Those who are unable to get vaccinated before the 1st of December will be required to provide a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test which must not be older than 3 days.

This new development was announced by SGF Boss Mustapha, the chairman of the Presidential Steering Committee on Covid-19 and Secretary to the Government of the Federation. SGF Mustapha announced while briefing the Presidential Steering Committee on Wednesday, the 13th of October. He noted that an official circular would be made available to guide the process.
