Plastic surgery and other surgical cosmetic enhancements have been around for quite a while now. By 2010 buttock augmentation or Brazilian Butt Lifts, had seen explosive growth in popularity. Celebrities like Nicki Minaj and the Kardashian sisters helped popularise the aesthetic procedure that many women and men around the world now opt for.
Nigerian celebrities, however, didn’t quite catch up to the plastic surgery trend until 2018. By the year 2020, more and more socialites and celebrities in Nigeria began sporting perfectly cinched waists and voluptuous behinds. Here are the before and after photos of 10 celebrities we think may have gone under the knife to achieve the “in-demand figure.”
10 Nigerian Celebrities Before & After Plastic Surgery
Toke Makinwa: Toke Makinwa was one of the first Nigerian celebrities to get plastic surgery done. In 2018 she debuted her new body at the MBGN event. Fans at the time had pointed out unevenness in Toke’s new hips. But as many women who have skin in the BBL game have said, it sometimes could take more than one procedure to get the figure you want. Toke now sports a dashing figure and takes every opportunity to show it off. We love to see it!
Annie Idibia: Many have argued that Annie hasn’t gotten any work done. This is a valid argument because Annie has always had a very beautiful body and her procedures if any are quite minimal. In my unprofessional opinion, Annie had a mommy makeover. After her two kids, she seems to have gotten some work done to her belly and butt area. Take a look at her before and after photos and be the judge.
Mercy Eke: When this reality tv star graced our screens, all anyone could talk about was her body. Mercy Eke’s bum and personality earned her the “queen of highlights” title. Many people even joked about her derriere being a separate housemate -lol. If you have ever wondered what Mercy looked like before her surgery, you’ve come to the right place.
Tonto Dikeh: This Nollywood sweetheart was introduced to us by Patience Ozokwor. Her talent in acting kept us glued to our screens. After giving birth to her son, Tonto went under the knife. Her slimmer figure was developed into one with wider hips, a more prominent bum, and a thinner waist. Those who saw Tonto in the early and mid-2000s can guess she had work done.
Nengi Rebecca Hampson: Nengi is another Big Brother Naija star who showed up with the bombshell BBL body. The 23-year-old socialite has undoubtedly always had her pretty face, however, the body we got to see on screen hadn’t always been like that. Photos from her pageantry days show Nengi with a much smaller behind.
Toni Tones: If you’ve seen the critically acclaimed Netflix show, King of Boys, you’d know about this stunning actress. It is always a pleasure to see her stunning figure on red carpets and while Toni has always had a little waist, her hips and butt haven’t always looked like that.
Tiwa Savage: Tiwa joined the BBL gang quite recently. But make no mistakes, she has always had a body and face that match her sonorous voice. Tiwa used to have a more athletic body before her surgical procedure, now she has hips and ass for days. Lol.
Pero Adeniyi: Pero has one of the most obvious BBL’s in the industry. She made sure she got her money worth because, after her surgery, her hips, waist, bum and face look a lot more snatched! If you wondering who she is, you should read this article.
Khloe Oluwabusayo: More popularly known as Koko by Khloe, this is one BBnaija star who got work done after the show. Koko has been quite vocal about her bbl procedure. She recently revealed on The Dada Boy show that she always thought she wouldn’t get plastic surgery done but changed her mind when she could afford to pay for it.
Nancy Isime: This is another person who fans doubt has had work done because she is a huge fitness enthusiast. Nancy Isime has always been a gym rat, before and after her surgery. The beautiful TV host and actress has unarguably always had a fit physique but she did have some work done in the recent past.
