Enyimba goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa was forced out of the rescheduled Premier League clash at Kwara United after he suffered an ankle injury in Ilorin.
The game ended 1-1 but not with Ezenwa who made way for Fatai Dauda in the 67th minute.
The severity or otherwise cannot be ascertained but it is feared that Ezenwa may have suffered a knee injury.
He had a knock during the semi-final of the last CHAN tournament in Morocco, though he had recovered from that, he did not feature in the Super Eagles recent friendly games against Serbia and Poland
Ezenwa is one of three goalkeepers expected to make Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr’s squad for the Russia 2018 World Cup in June.
He is expected to be named on a 30-man provisional squad to the World Cup, which has to be submitted latest May 14.
