So today the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Olisa Metuh who is standing trial for being part of the alleged money laundering linked with former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (rtd) seems to be suffering from an undisclosed ailment, in fact, today he appeared in court on a stretcher.
His lawyer Emeka Etiaba had informed the court in January that his client was on admission at the Nnamdi Azikiwe
University Teaching Hospital.
He had to be wheeled to the court following a stern warning by Justice Okon Abang that he would revoke his bail if he
fails to appear in court today.
His lawyer Emeka Etiaba, begged the court, that Metuh should be given one month before adjournment period which he
(Metuh) would be fit to continue with his trial within the period.
In his ruling, Justice Abang said he has seen that the former PDP spokesman in a state in which he cannot continue with
the trial.
The trial judge Abang agreed to the plea by Metuh’s Lawyer and adjourned the case till March 14, 15 and 16.
